Unless you add coverage for modifications and custom parts, it is typically not covered by most motorcycle insurance policies. Most motorcycle owners invest a lot of money in their bikes with custom paint, chrome extras, engine modifications and so on. You need to discuss this with your agent to be sure the money you spend on your bike is covered.
